Crowns & Bridges
Explained

Crowns and bridges are dental restorations used to restore damaged or missing teeth, with crowns covering individual teeth and bridges filling gaps between teeth by anchoring to adjacent teeth.

Crowns and bridges are common restorative dental procedures used to repair and replace damaged or missing teeth, restoring both function and aesthetics to the smile. A crown, also known as a cap, is a custom-made covering that encases the entire visible portion of a damaged tooth, providing strength and improving its appearance. Crowns are typically used to restore teeth that are severely decayed, cracked, or weakened by root canal treatment.

Bridges, on the other hand, are used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to the adjacent natural teeth or implants. The bridge fills the gap left by the missing teeth, preventing the surrounding teeth from shifting out of position and maintaining the alignment and stability of the bite. Both crowns and bridges are made from durable materials such as porcelain, ceramic, or metal, and are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural teeth for a functional and aesthetically pleasing result.
