My name is Vivek Chaitanya. I was born in Oslo, Norway, and at the age of three and a half, my family—mom, dad, and baby brother—immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I grew up in Millwoods in a loving household. My interest in dentistry may have stemmed from a poor dental experience I had as a child.

I attended Weinlos, Ritchie, Kate Chegwin, and McNally schools, and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Guided by my peers, elders, and friends, I chose dentistry as my profession and pursued my studies at Boston University. I have a passion for the arts, cinema, and all sports. My drawing skills, combined with a strong background in mathematics and chemistry, have been invaluable in developing my dental surgical skills.

My goal in entering dentistry was to provide better care than what I experienced as a child. By treating young patients with extra care, comfort, and a splash of humor, I aim to help them grow into adults who find dental visits easy and stress-free.

I strive to create a fun, positive, professional, and well-informed environment in my office. We utilize the latest technology, including 3D scanners, digital X-rays, and intraoral cameras, to educate each patient about their oral health strengths and weaknesses. This aspect of dentistry also fulfills my desire to teach, as better-informed patients make better decisions.

Dentistry has its challenging days, but solving these puzzles daily brings me great satisfaction. My greatest pleasure comes from helping a patient overcome a past traumatic or problematic experience and seeing them leave my office happy.
